This wasn’t at all what I expected. I knew it was going to be twisted, but I never expected this.
Alice is a burgeoning serial killer who catches the white rabbit in her quest to find more challenging animals to destroy. He takes her to Wonderland, where nothing is quite what it seems, including Alice.
This was a great, quick read.

This certainly gave Alice in Wonderland vibes. Close, but not at the same time. I was put off by a couple of thoughts in Alice’s head given her age and even though I kept reading on, my mind kept taking me back to them and making me cringe. With the exception of those 2 thoughts coming from a 13 year old, I liked reading Alice in wonderland with a horrific twist. If you want to see what with out spoilers could have cause an ick for me. I enjoyed this very interesting twist on Alice in Wonderland. It has the normal cast, except Alice wants to kill them all (somewhat successfully, read the book for more details:)
Neat twist at the end, again, I enjoyed, well done.

  4. Steve

Well, is this different or is this different. Another retelling of Alice in Wonderland. I liked it I have to say with the twist at the end throwing everything upside down again. Recommended read.

  5. Riann Fletcher

This book was a fun and wild ride! I loved how Audrey Brice expertly wove darkness into such a well known story. I enjoyed every minute!!

  6. Marlys Frisby

Interesting retelling of the “Alice in Wonderland” story. Very good story and ending.

  7. Christine F.

This horror retelling of Alice in Wonderland depicts Alice with an ever growing craving for spilling blood. When ending small animals lives isn’t enough and she has the white rabbit in her grasp, he convinced her to seek more challenging pray in Wonderland. Things are very odd and curious in Wonderland which also throws things off for Alice.

While it has the similarities connecting it to the original story, it is it’s own story and really takes you for a ride.

The animal harm at the beginning really threw me off, and I did not like it, but it moved on quickly. It is a definite trigger warning though.

Alice is quite young for some of the thoughts that go through her head, but that is definitely what makes the book all that more disturbing.

The book was a very quick, fast-paced read for me, only taking a day. The ending was unexpected and I really enjoyed the twist. I’m still not 100% sure how to take the ending. It easily left it open for multiple conclusions and even potentially extending the story if the author so chose to.

  8. Clive Willcocks

Another fantastic read from the Twisted Tales series. This is a new take on Alice In Wonderland which I throughly enjoyed and would definitely recommend it.

  9. Terry Monk

A good, short fairy tale. Filled with horror from start to finish with a good twist at the end. Highly recommended, I received an ARC copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

  10. Stefanie Silvestri

This is a dark, horror retelling of Alice in Wonderland, featuring Alice with an increasingly intense thirst for blood. When Alice determines that doing away with small animals isn’t enough, she encounters the White Rabbit and he leads her to Wonderland to pursue more challenging foe. I didn’t see the twist at the end coming. I liked this darker version of Alice in Wonderland. I enjoyed it but wanted a little more.

  11. Michael Clarkson

Awesome rendition of Alice In Wonderland…. Loved every minute of this too short of a short story.
This dark and twisted tale keeps you reading and not wanting to stop. I wish it could be made in to a full length book, with Through The Looking Glass as an add on.

  12. Karleigh

The portrayal of the main character as only thirteen years old, coupled with her internal thoughts and the depiction of animal killings, struck me as inappropriate and unsettling, which took me out of the story at first, but aside from her age being an issue this story was a great horror take on the classic Alice in Wonderland.

  13. Dennis

Incredible retelling of Alice in Wonderland in a more horrifying way. Very interesting and well done. I really enjoy this series.

  14. Jeff Edwards

As with all the Twisted Tales books, Alice starts off a tough read, but once she gets to Wonderland it quickly turns familiar – yet twisted. I never thought a reading of Alice in Wonderland would be this eye opening. Murders? Aubrey pulled it off amazingly.

  15. JackieT

Twisted isn’t the word, there’s no wanting to stop reading. An amazing retelling of Alice in Wonderland, that you won’t forgive yourself if you don’t read it. Loved every bit of

  16. Ken Lingenfelter

Alice has a thirst for blood capturing small animals and killing them. It has become very mundane for Alice. She captures a white rabbit who tells her of Wonderland where there are more challenging kills for her. Alice’s trip to Wonderland did not turn out for her.
