    It looks like Jonny Mendez is going to be one of my favorite characters going forward. Andre knocked it out of the park with the first book of this series. Without giving too much away, a well meaning drifter stumbles across a drug ring, crooked DEA agents, etc. Very fast moving, and holds the secrets right to the end. I highly recommend.

    Wow, well this author has gone into thriller writing in a big way. It’s a serious shift from the other books they have written and all the better for it, that is not to say the other series weren’t good cos they were. This one is up there with the best of them it’s that good. I was enthralled from the first page to the last, I loved it. This is another series that should run and run. What’s going to happen in the next one though. Highly recommended.

    I have read practically all of the Angel time travelling series. This new series featuring Johnny Mendez is completely different. This is a great fast action series. Johnny Mendez arrives in a coastal town only to be convicted for two murders he did not commit. Then more murders take place and Johnny gets involved. But with drug traffickers and crooked DEA agents what are Johnny’s chances? This is a great read which will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is a promising start to a new series.

    I loved this wonderful introduction to Jonny Mendez! Jonny is a tough guy with a heart of gold. My eyes were glued to the page. The perfect blend of action, suspense and humor. I can’t wait to read Jonny’s next adventure! Andre Gonzalez never disappoints.

    Loved meeting Jonny…. A dark, mysterious character, that men fear and women love.
    The storyline had me hooked from page one and although I managed to guess some of the twists in the tale, I was still surprised by others.
    Can’t wait to see where he ends up next and whether he ever sees Lily, or Andres again.

    Vigilante justice at its finest. This is a new author to me but after reading this book I will be reading more. This story had it all action, found family, suspense, small town being overrun by the cartel and an ex-Navy Seal just trying to live his life one town at a time.

    Jonny doesn’t go looking for trouble but make no mistake trouble always find him. After arriving in a small town, he immediately finds himself right in the midst of trouble. Drugs and violence are plaguing the small town where Jonny has decided to lay low at and now that he has been roped into the drama, he has taken it upon himself to get to the bottom of everything.

    Jonny is fighting demons from his past and when he realizes that the Mexican Cartel has been setting up shop in town as well as his family ties to the dangerous crime syndicate, Jonny is on a mission to rid the town of danger and do what he does best.

    This story was well written and had a really engaging plot and relatable characters.

    This is a novel once I started reading, I wanted to continue reading. Jonny Mendez is the main character. Former Navy SEAL and former CIA. He travels from town to town never making a permanent home. He randomly stops in a small town with Mexican cartel activity. Action packed story line.

    I’ve reads many books of Andre’s and this did not disappoint. Excited to see where this series goes. Reacher fans will love this. Drifter stumbles into a small town only to get drawn into the depths of the Cartels reach. Some twists you have to read. References that will make you smile and work well here. Loved it, can’t wait for the next one. Departure from Andre’s other notable series, but this author takes control and delights us all..

    The protagonist is similar to the Jack Reacher character – an ex-military loner with no fixed address just traveling around and attracting trouble. I have read and enjoyed the entire Reacher series of books and I enjoyed this novel as well. I found the writing to be, at times, more humorous than the Reacher novels, which I feel is a good thing. I hope that it is going to be a long series, and I am looking forward to reading the next one.

    This is my first book by this author but I am already waiting for the next book in this series! It was a very fast read. It was action packed with twists and I just didn’t want to put it down. I feel like this is something my husband would enjoy and he is not a big fiction reader (but he is a veteran). It reminded me of some of the movies I watch with him. We usually pick action packed thrillers with veterans trying to solve murders so this fit right in with that. I enjoyed the main character, Jonny, and learning more about him. It seemed like good character development, getting set up for a good series.

    Wow! I did not know that Andre Gonzalez had it in him. I have read all his other science fiction/futuristic novels and thought that was his writing style. Then along came Never Look Back.

    Again, I say Wow! This is a thriller in a style I have not encountered recently. The main character, Jonny Mendez becomes realer and realer with each page I turn. He is one tough dude that I would only want to meet if he was on my side. One scary dude.

    As in the style of Andre Gonzelez you want to keep reading. You need to know what is going to happen next. You become one with some of the characters and want to live alongside them.

    Now I have to wait till next year to find out what happens next to Jonny Mendez. You can be sure that once that book becomes available, I will read it immediately.

    If you have never read any book by Andre Gonzalez or if you have only read his others, pick up Never Look Back. You will not be disappointed.
