Some secrets are worth dying for. Others are worth killing for.

Jonny wants nothing — no roots, no ties, no past. That philosophy dies the moment his nephew Andres stops showing up.

On the campus of Holy Dominion University, students are vanishing. No headlines. No police. Just silence — and a powerful man with something to hide.

When Andres becomes the next target, Jonny is the only one willing to go looking. What he uncovers reaches from the university’s inner circle to a ritual killing ground buried deep in the Indiana woods.

Justice doesn’t come clean. But it does come.

A perfect read for fans of Lee Child, David Baldacci, James Patterson, Michael Connelly, and Harlan Coben.

This is another great story featuring Jonny Mendez. I was totally engrossed into this story and I couldn’t put it down. Looking forward to the next book in this story.

It was delightful to catch up with Jonny. With each book, I love him even more. Great story, very suspenseful and action-packed! I hope to Andres in future books because he’s a wonderful character.

  3. Michael Clarkson

Really enjoyed this one, it seemed shorter than the usual Mendez ‘investigations’ though. Maybe I just got too engrossed in it and the time flew.
Nice open ending on whether Patricia was involved with the cult, or not.
I hope Andres gets to be a regular in Jonnys life and travels.

So, book three in this thrilling series and I loved it. From the first word right through to the last. This time it’s family matters for Jonny to sort out, and he does it with his usual style. Who would have thought that the setting held such a lot of secrets. What we going to be graced with next I wonder, cannot wait to find out. Highly recommended

Part mystery, part thriller, this installment of Jonny Mendez is top notch! The characters are great with excellent good guys and really awful bad guys. (And a college-aged hussy that really ticked me off. I didn’t like her from the get-go.) These characters made for a phenomenal story!
    Warning: death, grief, cults.

Jonny Mendez travels to visit his nephew Andres at the college he is attending. Jonny learns of missing students that the university is not concerned about. After his nephew starts acting strange, Jonny decides to stick around and investigate. I could not stop reading this thriller. I really enjoy the Jonny Mendez series.

Book 3 of the Jonny Mendez series takes you on another adventure with Jonny, this thriller/mystery will keep you on your toes throughout the story! What starts as a simple visit to his nephew turns into some much more than Jonny expected.

I am hooked on this series, can’t wait for the next book!

Another Jonny Mendez adventure. I’m in This a great series from a great writer. This time it involves Andres, a family member. Does Jonny attract trouble or is he that good at noticing it. With a family dynamic, this book was especially good and satisfying to the end. A must read.

This is the third installment of the Jonny Mendez series, a quick, fun, action packed thriller series. Buried Truth brings Jonny’s nephew back into the mix when he visits Andres at college. When Andres is acting off, Jonny starts digging in and is concerned with his nephew’s involvement with a group of people. Jonny digs deeper and finds many secrets that can be deadly. I had fun with this book and enjoy the series as a whole. One of the things that frustrated me a little was that, while Jonny is ex navy seal and cia, he makes decisions I would expect from someone without training. I feel like his training would make him much wiser. Other than that, I like the story and recommend it to anyone that likes a quick thriller. You definitely need to read the books in order or you will miss key background information that is mentioned, but it’s not totally necessary to enjoy this book alone.

An excellent storyline with a good pace and likeable main characters. Secrets, danger and more as Jonny strives to save his nephew when students are vanishing from the University he attends. Highly recommended. I received an ARC from M4L and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
