Some magic is a gift. Some is a curse. And some is born in blood.
Raven Beaumont knows she’s strange—glimpsing things no one else sees. But when her grandmother gives her a magic painting, she discovers a world where witches battle vampires, bloodlines hold deadly secrets, and magic isn’t just real—it’s hungry.
Martha’s always been the reliable one. Until she falls for Thomas, her enigmatic philosophy professor who makes her feel seen—and slowly erodes everything else. As her world fractures, so does her grip on what’s real… and who to trust.
In the shadows of two intertwining timelines, a witch who can travel through time, a vampire haunted by guilt, and a girl with a legacy she never asked for must uncover the truth before the wheel turns once more—and destroys them all.
Wheel of Blood and Magic is a haunting, slow-burn tale of tangled destinies, generational power, and the dangerous love that binds us.

Being a huge fan of vampires (think Necroscope), I really enjoyed this. It was very well written and flowed nicely, with a semi-predictable twist at the end, but not enough to spoil the story….
Looking forward to the next one.

This a very fascinating story, if it weren’t for the fast switches between different aspects it would be 5 stars. I was engrossed from the start right through to the ending I did not see coming, though I should have. Highly recommended.

This was an interesting read for me. Two story arc’s, one from the past and the other, the present, all leading to a final standoff ending. Families intertwined in vengeance.
The conflicts between witches and vampires are the central theme. Vampires hunting humans, witches hunting vampires to save the humans. The witches in our story are poison to vampires but they have ways to kills witches anyway. One vampire, stronger than any other, vows to end the witches line, no matter the length of time it takes. The witches of the past, believe he’s dead after a brutal fight, but is he?
I really liked the unique magic the witches used and the sheer force of will shown by both sides of this battle to the death in the present day. The time bending paintings particularly were very cool.
I do wish we went deeper into the character building of the witches…some felt a little 2 dimensional and the transitions between times felt abrupt.
Overall, a unique take on a vampire/witch tale.
Thank you to M4L for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. My thoughts are my own

This is a great book with vampires and witches in constant battle. But it’s also about family and friendships. I gasped when I got to the last chapter because I just *knew* what was coming. I can’t wait for the next one!

I loved this exciting and suspenseful read! I was hooked from the first page. Great world building. It was easy to root for the main characters and to hate the villains. I was confused a couple of times about a character’s identity due to the time jumps, but it made sense later on. Great cliffhanger ending. I can’t wait for book two!

The unique blend of past and present elements in this book made for a compelling read. The story was full of suspense, with vampires hunting humans and witches fighting back against the vampires to protect humanity. I was drawn in from the very first page and remained fully engaged throughout, thanks to the author’s ability to craft a narrative that was both engaging and unpredictable.

This is a chaotic and fun ride through time, lives and art!
The changing viewpoints had me reeling at first but once you get hooked, you won’t be able to put it down.
I was flipping pages like my fingers were on fire!
can’t wait to see where this world takes us next.

Wheel of Blood and Magic is a full on fantasy of witches and vampires, battling through time. It has a good storyline and plenty of action throughout. I enjoyed reading it.

This was a great start to a series. I liked the different point of views past and present, but just wish the switches weren’t so fast. The world intrigued me and I’m interested to learn more!

I really enjoyed this book. The story going from the past and present was done well. It added to the enjoyment of the story. I hope to read the next book in this series.

Witches and Vampires Fantasy

I have a few fantasy books under my belt, but felt this book had more to offer. A witches hierarchy, interconnectedness and vampires as foes. Seems like a great layout, but there is also an element of time travel. Martha, Raven and the whole bunch offers a family feel, with each witch having unique powers- specific to them. The horrors of treatment by vampires and this fantasy piece expands beyond just a “family” of witches. I for one am ready for book 2 and am excited to read and experience the next chapter.

This has a little bit of everything for everyone and it is done in a unique way, with witches, vampires, and time travel all in one story
Some things I really enjoyed about the book:
-The magical system – not only do they have the ability to do spells but they have a gift that is special to them, and even if they choose not to use their powers they still maintain their gift.
– Use it or lose it – Witches are passing down their powers to their daughters and will eventually lose their magic, but can choose to work hard to keep it.
I also really liked the witch characters and finding out how they were all connected.
The big thing I disliked was the time jumping, the flow could have been better – such a long gap between present day/past/ present day, I’d almost forgot where we left off in Martha’s story at one point when it finally went back to her because they spent 1/3 of the book diving into Mathias past. It all felt like necessary parts of the plot, but it just did not flow well.
I am interested to see where this series goes! Can’t wait to read the next book.

Witches, vampires, werewolves, and time travel all in one? YES! It was as interesting as it sounds! Really loved this. Can’t wait for the next!

This was such an interesting read. I wasn’t sure about it at first but the time travel aspects gave it an interesting twist. I don’t normally read werewolf and vampire books but this is a really good one. I’m looking forward to reading the second one.

wheel of blood and magic is a multi time line story about the battle between witches and vampires layered with family building, magic, friendship, hate, blood, and love. there are some great twists and surprises, battle and action, and even a point where my heart twinged a little for the villain.
there were so many layers to this story and so much slow build up to the climactic ending while also laying out the plot for the next book.
this story gave me similar vibes to the interview with the vampire, which I did really enjoy.
I expected more gore since it was called horror, but I honestly dont think it needs more gore to make it good.
I was really needing a good book with magic, vampires, action, and adventure and this did it for me.
the story is about a group of witches coming together to protect their kind and humans from vampires, how you shouldn’t let your guard down, and you need to keep your family close. it also shows layers of friendship being just as good as family and how even villains have feelings.
